to melt with you

i lie into the thought
of a dark lit room
hands across, tangled beside
to be aside the warmth of you

i hold to see, strings we keep
before i tangle
i rhyme in thought with two hearts
to be in motion without hesitation
i used to die for you in summer
on cold nights i remember
you beside me, us as we
to frolic in sessions
from dusk til daylight
the wind only speaks if you listen ever so
carefully

i mask in your chambers
with doors locked how we left them
i see you between the shades
of a summer time west side
coffee beans from tuesday morning
clouds in my ears and death in evenings
i chance on my wine thinking of all the times

we bask in our nostalgia
to remember things how we leave them
have you ever thought of a moment as it leaves you
i believe in time
how it speaks in weight
two between sheets of memories
the warmth sometimes burns
ice ever so calmly melts
coldness comes with changes
but time always has a way to heal
