rippled water

i wade into versions of you
breaking to be
tangled between the thought of you
we’re spinning in circles
between decades and versions
i lay one down beneath the fumes
to listen for echoes
a darkened temptation
have you ever spun all night
stuck in motions
screaming into white noise
rocks are not always jagged
reasons don’t always find meaning
in night some speak tongues
to you is to behold
truths are scarier than our past
i ask for you to feel the details
the wind beneath you
songs in the distance
ripples in the water
did the tears fill the pond
your movements were always too calm

  1. Too good. This poem has dimensions… I could dedicate it to my country or you could dedicate it to your love… Wow!
